X Men
It is now 3:00 AM. I just saw the new X Men movie. It was a really really good movie but what I loved most about it was the people I went with. I love being spontaneous and doing fun things like this. Stephen Robinson told me the movie was coming out tonight at midnight and then I went and talked to Kevin Jenson and we just decided a couple hours before hand that we were going to go see it. So we talked to people and we made it happen. We went with a group of about 10 people and I think everyone had a good time and enjoyed to movie and the experience. I'm so happy that I am in a time of my life where I can be young and have fun with people I love. It is such a great time to be alive and in the situation I am in.

Summer
I want to start keeping track of all the fun things I am doing this summer. It's already the end of May so I've missed a lot but I'm hoping I can fill in the missing pieces and then stay up to date for the rest of the summer.
Life is kinda funny and different for me right now. I decided not to take classes this summer and instead just to get a job and work. I got a job on the grounds crew for BYU and it is... interesting. The parts that I enjoy are: I get to be outside, I love (most) of the people I work with and my boss, I get money, I can finally say that I have a job and I don't feel like such a slacker in life. The parts I don't like are: I have to work (just statin' the obvious), it's gonna start getting really hot here pretty soon and it'll be miserable to be outside during the afternoon, and worst of all I feel like I should be doing something that pushes me and makes me use my mind and grow. I just sort of feel like I do mindless work that doesn't actually make that big of a difference in my life or just in the world in general. So that makes it blah. I think it is still good for me to have this job though. It is good experience just to work and to get along with my boss and my co-workers and to spend the time learning how to work.
When I'm not working though, I'm pretty much just playing :) I have a really fun group of friends that I do everything with. We go to intramural games and the hot tub, watch movies, play games, have sleepovers and bonfires, go on bike rides and hikes, eat food that's homemade and out at restaurants. But mostly we just do a lot of sitting around talking and dancing and being friends. It's awesome. I really do love it and I feel like I am making friends that I will have for my whole life.
Let me tell you about a few things that I've done already that are awesome.
We got a big group of people to go up to the rugby national championships up in SLC. BYU got to the finals and played against a school in California. It was really fun to go up and watch a rugby game. I've never seen one before so I didn't really know all of the rules and stuff but I understood most of it. It was really fun to watch! It's crazy how they just tackle eachother and get in huge dogpiles with no pads or protection at all. They are true men.
My ward went on a hike up rock canyon park one Saturday morning and that was a ton of un! I usually hate hikes but I convinced myself to go... I don't know why... But it ended up being really really fun. I stayed back with a group of 6 people and instead of just sticking to the path, we were climbing up on the mountain and crossing the river over and over again. It was so much fun! Hiking can be boring cause you just walk on a path and keep walking and walking. But this was different because we would stop and cross the river or just play around which made it fabulous. We even claimed an island in the middle of the river. We dragged a log over and all climbed onto the island and claimed it. It's awesome.
I went and saw Never Say Never in the dollar theater with Adam, Sarah, and Moe and sitting two seats in front of us was Stephen Rogers from the BYU basketball team. I thought it was so funny that he and his wife were seeing the Justin Bieber movie in the dollar theater. It was an awesome movie by the way. It just went to redbox and my friends and I rented it and watched it again just a couple nights ago. I have to say that I really like JB and I have a lot of respect for him. I might even admit that I have Bieber Fever...
So there's more but I will kind of fill in spaces later on. The verdict though, is that I am having a really fun summer and I'm trying to be a better person and develop some of my talents and make some good friends. I have a lot of things to work on and I'm grateful to have this time in my life to work on them.
